Fandom refers to to a group of fans who co-jointly create a particular subculture based on their affinity, passion or engagement with their object of fandom. The objects of fandom may be varied such as celebrity-based fandom, music or series fandom, comics fandom, genre fandom, video game fandom, hobby fandom, lifestyle fandom, etc. Fans usually spend much time and energy towards their object of fandom. Fandom expressions may range from creating fan clubs or fan conventions towards their creative fan-labor activities like writing fan fiction, maintaining fandom-inspired websites or fanzines, promoting fan art, etc. The definition of fandom may have implications or associations with the following concepts and terms:
